Library 2.0 Spring Retreat
There is still time to register for the Library 2.0 Spring Retreat schedule for March 20-21, 2010. This two day hands on retreat is designed to help School Library Media Specialists gain a comfort level with some of the Library 2.0 technologies. Sessions will be informal and collaborative. Strategies for integration into the curriculum will be offered and shared.
All Library Media Specialists will be able to:
- Comfortably use some of the Library 2.0 technologies.
- Integrate Library 2.0 tools into the curriculum to better meet the needs of 21st century learners.
- Draw conclusions, make informed decisions, apply knowledge to new situations, and create new knowledge. (AASL Standard 3)
Participants will be required to:
- Create at least one Web 2.0 technology tool for their library.
Instructors: Polly Farrington, President of P.A. Farrington Associates and Andrea Tejedor, Coordinator for NY State Model Schools and Distance Learning Initiatives for Orange-Ulster BOCES
Dates: Saturday, March 20, 2010 (9:00am - 9:00pm) and Sunday, March 21, 2010 (8:00am - 12:00pm)

I actually held the African American Read In Chain on February 8–it can be held any time during the month of February. A great,informative time was had by all.
