Would you like to attend this conference but have no place to view it uninterrupted at your location? SENYLRC is hosting the Handheld Librarian Online Conference scheduled on February 17 - 18, 2010 from 11:00 am to 6:30 pm EST both days. The entire conference is “attended” virtually via the Internet. Come to SENYLRC to join your colleagues for an online gathering on mobile services by and for libraries. There is no fee to attend, however registration is required. When you register, please select the times that you will attend. The cost for SENYLRC’s registration to host a group viewing is fully subsidized through SENYLRC’s regional automation program through New York State funds. Lunch is available for $5.00/day, payable at the event.
Program:
The second Handheld Librarian Online Conference - sponsored by Alliance Library System and LearningTimes - will include a series of keynote speakers plus other speakers in a series of track segments. More people than ever are using mobile devices for a wide variety of purposes including communication, internet access, text messaging, and entertainment. It is important that libraries provide mobile services as handheld use increases.
