AASL Licensed Institute: Leading Through Collaboration

authorSchool Library System | February 17, 2009

The regional School Library Systems are hosting the AASL Licensed Institute:  Leading Through Collaboration. This regional institute ties into two of the basic ideas of collaboration and leadership — that underlie the vision of library  media programs presented in Information Power:  Building Partnerships for Learning.  Each is integral to every aspect of the library media program and every component of the school library media specialist’s role.

The instructor will guide you through this one-day workshop that provides you with an opportunity to increase your understanding of the components of leadership, identify your own leadership skills and professional priorities, and apply leadership strategies to the challenges we face in our schools and our profession.  You will have time and opportunities to connect with other school library media professionals and establish networks to work together to effect change.

Date:  Monday, March 2, 2009 (Registration deadline - Thursday, February 26, 2009)
