Tuesday, March 10, 2009 is Library Lobby Day for NYS libraries. Libraries need you to stand up and speak out this year. Students, educators and parents are strongly encouraged to travel with your regional School Library System Coordinators and other library supporters to meet with NYS legislators to speak out for libraries! NYS Libraries need more money. Our School Library Systems are facing an 18% cut in funding. Legislators need to learn what libraries do for citizens of New York State.
MHLS and RCLS are coordinating transportation for the day. To register for the bus go to http://midhudson.org/funding/advocacy/bus09.pdf
