Ulster and Dutches School Library Systems are offering a two day fall retreat that is designed to help library media specialists gain a comfort level with some of the Library 2.0 technologies. Sessions will be informal and collaborative. Strategies for integration into the curriculum will be offered and shared.

All Library Media Specialists will know and be able to:
- Comfortably use some of the Library 2.0 technologies

- Draw conclusions, make informed decisions, apply knowledge to new situations, and create new knowledge (AASL Standard 3)

The School Library System is hosting a summer workshop on the
SENYLRC and Historic Hugeunot Street new on-line exhibit of photographs and historic manuscripts relating to African American history. The exhibit is titled The Missing Chapter: Untold Stories of the African American Presence in the Mid-Hudson Valley.
During the six-hour workshop, educators will explore the website and try each of the eight activities in the curriculum. A tour of several of the historic houses on Huguenot Street and a visit to an archive to view historic documents will also be included.
